ummk

alright kids, here's the address where people can write me if they would like:

(mi nombre aqui)= my name here, so they know who's it is
Centro de Estudios Para Extranjeros-CEPE
Universidad de Guadalajara
Tomás V. Gómez 125
Col. Ladrón de Guevara C.P. 44600
Guadalajara, Jalisco
México

so yeah, the mail is SLOW, but you can still send things! not to push, but they said to tell friends to spend the extra dollar and use fedex, even for a letter. Or, all of you (wink wink) can put everything in one packet.

anyways, thanks for all the love so far (esp Meesh!)

so, a few observations from Mexico . . .

-the people here are CRAZY ASS drivers
-buildings look solid, but on the inside they have no walls or ceilings in the center- aka, it rains in the center of the house.
- no screens anywhere
- so NOT hot here

i'll think of better ones and let you know.

Umm, this is taking me forever to respond . . .

Taco Bell and Mexico are not in any way the same. The food here is natural, spicy, and just not the same.

They have Thai, Sushi, Chinese, Italian, etc

Weird clothes=everything very tight, but mostly the same as here. Lots of name brands, people are wealthy. Guys generally dress very metro and stylish. Reggaeton (aka, Daddy Yankee) is really popular, along with Banda and Mariachi. It's weird that people like it. Clubs and people do listen to a lot of "gringo" music, and there are clubs that play it.

Americans are generally treated well, depending on the situation. Guys actually bark at us, but at the same time it's known that an extranjero, or a foreigner, is considered very exotic here. Apparently it's inherit in the Mexican culture to look to treasure outside things/women. But they bark. I hate it. I started barking back, and discovered that was a mistake.

I already said Daddy Yankee, Shakira is actually really good in spanish, and i'll look for other names. Gasolina and que paso paso are Daddy Yankee's best/most popular songs. Think popular like . . . i dunno, Black Eyed Peas "where is the love."

No encounters with any sexy Mexicans- I generally try to not mix with them in club situations, since it gets kinda shady. I mean, I don't stay away, and I have a few mexican friends, but I met them through school.

K. Cool. Now you know. Anything else?
